Came in for coffee and cake around 3.15pm in Sunday.
Were told somewhat brusquely as we walked thro the door by male member of staff that the kitchen was closed.
Felt like we were begrudgingly serve coffee and cake, as someone wanted an early dart (is open til 4, apparently).
My coffee was ok, the other was luke warm. The slice of coffee cake was also very dry, think it had been hanging around for a while.
The staff member made a big production of noisely slammng chairs up onto tables around us while we ate. Were made to feel an unwelcome nuisance, and we were out again in 20 minutes.
Maybe we caught them in a bad day, but I will spend my money elsewhere in future, there are plenty of decent cafes in Southport that actually value your custom.
