        I came in with my 12 year old today for an impromptu brunch (teacher strikes). I worked out with him Id been coming here for around 20 years as I used to work opposite at the newspaper, and its not hard to see why its still open and still so popular. We had the eggs royale and a bacon butty, milkshake and oat milk latte. Its amazing how many bad Benedicts Ive had over the years but this was up there with one of the best! Perfectly cooked eggs, lovely thick hollandaise and beautifully presented with a nice portion of smoked salmon. Thick doorstop bread for the butty and he walloped his milkshake too. The owner is still as lovely and welcoming as I remember. Everything amazing and will be definitely coming back again much sooner!
