Absolutely fantastic butchers ... can highly recommend their Southminster Sizzler Sausages ... I will always stock up for myself (and my Dad too!) when I visit Essex ... the best chipolatas I've had in ages ... and service with a smile

Got the best pork chops from here and lamb's liver. Wide assortment to shop in shop; pies and all. Skip meats from the supermarket next door and shop Southminster Butchers instead.

Have bought here since we arrived nearly 6 years ago..very good quality meats supplied and on the rare occasion something wasn't as good expected, it is remedied immediately. Last week I had a rib of beef, just the one, and it was superb and ate really well: thanks Jay for prepping it for us... then last night we had 2 sirloin steaks ( been on 'holiday at home' so treating ourselves) which prompted the beloved to announce they were the best steaks he'd eaten in years. It helped I cooked then properly after researching it to double-check: seared each side then 2 minutes each side for medium rare..and rested them for 5 minutes. Perfection. Always good service, always good meat and poultry, love the 5 packs available, nice to be so well looked after and served with a smile. Have so appreciated the way we've all been looked after these last 8 months or so in very trying times. Really helpful having the fish man there too... great fish.
