I didnt want to have to write this review in the during Lockdown but sadly I do not see any other option due to a complete lack of response from Scrivens. My 78 year old widower father who requires bilateral hearing aids now, has been a long term customer of Scrivens. He was unlucky enough to have to put his hearing aid in for repairs at the Chase Side branch the day before lock down, and now is not only without a repaired hearing aid, but without any hearing aid at all. He has several health conditions which means he much be in isolation, and all 3 of his children work in healthcare. His difficulty hearing means he cannot use the telephone or face time as his main means of contact with his friends and family. He is even more cut off and isolated. Unsurprisingly this has affected his mental health and it it worrying us. We have emailed Scrivens several times and patiently awaited a response which has not come. Getting through on the telephone is impossible. We have asked enquires with other medium sized hearing aid chains and they all are willing to post back hearing aids and arrange repairs. And are much easier to make contact with. So we are simply asking for the hearing aid to be returned to us in the post. I dont believe this is a difficult task, even at this time. Scrivens have let down my father.
