Has the dubious distinction of being the spot where Britain's first Atomic Bomb (Hurricane) was shipped off to Australia. If tempted to go over the seawall the beach is owned by the MOD as in the past several nasty pieces of unexploded ammunition have been found. The winter tides always seem to expose a few more.
