My mother enjoyed a very comfortable 12months at Parklands nursing home. The staff were caring, compassionate and friendly. I cannot thank them enough.

My dad is at Parklands I've witnessed outstanding care the best I've seen from carers nurses to domestics in 18 years of working in the care industry.

I Was due to start there as a HCA but I was met by shouting by a Receptionist and I Withdrew my Application who would want to work in a workplace like this .

My dad has recently stayed here and I'm relieved he has now been moved. Very poor management. Clearly this home needs to train their staff in dementia care. This home has no idea on how to care for dementia patients, this includes the rude management who only likes to hear her own voice and promises things she can't deliver on. Lack of care and understanding was evident throughout my dads stay. No compassion. Management didn't even have the decency to tell us they couldn't look after my dad anymore, we heard from another source. This has been an upsetting experience for my father and ourselves. Can understand why cqc report isn't great.

The management of this so called CARE home is totally unprofessional. My mother was taken here against her will on a transfer from southend hospital waiting for a hip replacement. The placement promised by the hospital would only be six weeks and then they would do surgery....She saw the surgeon, Mr Lusty whom said he couldn't give my mother the operation. My mother would have to return to the care home due to covid. I had no choice, I wanted to take my mother home with me. I repeated that she wouldn't survive in that place....weeks passed. I battled with social workers whom were useless. They refused to let me speak to her during the first lockdown and she starved herself. They eventually notified me by telephone. It was too late. I forced her out and she died two weeks later at my home. Her diary was heartbreaking. Words cannot describe the pain and the injustice at the end of my irreplaceable mum's beautiful life and tormented memories that are left.
