Posting on behalf of partner, who suffers from anxiety and finds it hard to leave the house. Having spent the past few days of preparing for this assessment, we leave and halfway there in the car get a call at about 10 mins before appointment, get told that nobody is available to see her today, this has left her feeling emotionally exhausted and drained. 100% unprofessional and has caused distress to her. Absolute zero consideration for for people with mental health issues. Places and people like this is why the situation is so dire in this country. Should be absolutely ashamed.

I can't say that going there was a pleasant experience because it wasn't. I suffer from severe depression, anxiety and panic attacks. As soon as I got there, I was unbelievably stressed out. What I can say is that I was treated with respect. The receptionist could see the state I was in and found me somewhere quiet to sit and wait without being asked. The doctor who assessed me actually listened to what I had say.
