The doctor's surgery's standards have become very poor in recent years. The doctor is normally unaware of the conditions of his long-term patient (my father), struggles to read hospital letters without assistance, will not take on board comments from family members, is reluctant to order new medicine for patients in need (my brain-damaged father was unable to swallow his diabetes medication, and the doctor hesitated for over a week to prescribe liquid medication due to the high cost of the medicine). I am writing this review today as after a month of being told my father was on the waiting list for his booster jab to be delivered at home (he has fractured his leg three times this year) I was told today that the doctor did not know he was housebound, and questioned me on when he broke his leg. They said he was not eligible to have his booster jab at home, despite having made him wait for it for the past month. The surgery has become a practise that does not know about its patients, and is not able to communicate between its own employees in an organised way: it depends on which receptionist picks up the call, as to which care and advice you will receive.
