Southend Care

I have no idea about whats in their building or the quality of care they will provide. However, I can tell you that next door in Burr Hill Chase is a local authority Sheltered Accommodation block for elderly and disabled people. Unfortunately, since Southend Care appear to have closed their access road for THEIR staff/ building workers to park. Sadly their staff or builders now have commandeered the small PRIVATE car park for Stephen McAdden House next door. Unfortunately, THEIR staff/contractors park inconsiderately both in the entry access, over the paved area, and on the grassed area of our buildings. By their couldnt care less attitude our own disabled residents have to find somewhere to park away from their own PRIVATE car park thus people with poor painful mobility issues or those in wheelchairs have to struggle to reach their accommodation. Clearly, the administrative management of this building display an attitude of we may have caused a significant problem to our disabled and elderly neighbours next door, and despite the signs clearly stating RESIDENTS ONLY its nothing to do with us. What a good start to The Development of a new Residential Care home.!!! I guess apart from the issue now being raised within Southend Care, the local authority, the local Evening Echo (Newsquest), and the Parliamentary Office. We will wait/liaise with the CQC, particularly when they evaluate this new homes community relations . ADDITION I HAVE JUST SEEN THE 2 REVIEWS LEFT BY 2 CARE ASSISTANTS ON THE INDEED,COM website. Good company to work for. Really have looked after all the staff especially staff shielding due to covid.
