A bit of an outdated shop now. They are mainly franchised out and quite a few of them have a Royal Mail post office. The one at Southend hospital is horribly over priced. Like I say an outdated shop really. You would probably go and use such a shop as a last minute job. They sell most of the published material in the UK, Stationery, Small electronic devices, drinks and greeting cards. Unless you use a large town centre branch you will probably over pay for what you buy. Southend town centre has a large store with a post office. I went in with my sister to use the post office which also does currency exchange and banking and tried to change two twenty pound notes and a ten pound note for a fifty pound note to put in a birthday card for my niece and the teller said that they don't change currency into denominations.... Really well it said on a poster that you could do basic banking and how basic is that.
