An interesting church in the centre of the town, this is a Grade 1 listed building believed to have been built by the Normans around 1140 though it may have been altered from an earlier Saxon church but the rounded apse is typically Norman. One of the many exquisite stained glass window depicts a king of the East Saxons. Unfortunately the church is not open daily for viewing.
