Pepe's Piri Piri

I purchased some grilled chicken and rice from Pepe's Chicken on Southemd High-Street on Sunday evening. I noted that some of the Chicken was pink in the middle of the pieces but figured not enough to make me sick. This was my ignorance of salmonella, campylobacter and the dangers of eating raw chicken. I spent Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday unable to work, bedridden with relentless vomiting, dry retching, diarrhoea, exhaustion and fever. I had to get someone to look after my daughter due to the fact Pepe's Chicken are cooking raw chicken. This establishment has been reported to Southend Borough Council's Health Department.

Extremely tiny portions for what you pay and bang average food. There are so many better spots down the high street so I wouldnt recommend coming here unless you want to leave hungry
