Food For Thought

Thank you to Jeanna for the well presented, delicious food at my father-in-laws wake. There was a great variety of fresh savoury and sweet food which was enjoyed by all. Her staff were friendly, helpful and extremely efficient making sure the event ran as smoothly as possible. We would certainly recommend Jeanna and her staff!

Due to the Covid pandemic we could not celebrate my wifes 60th birthday as intended so we decided to have a family picnic instead. Having used Jeanna before and knowing how good her food is I sent her an email outlining my predicament. Jeanna replied very quickly saying that she could help but as it was only a picnic for three she would have to apply a minimum charge which I thought was quite a reasonable request. It took a brief phone call to establish a few preferences and then she said to leave it to her to make something special and special it was. I cannot emphasise enough the trouble Jeanna went to to make it a memorable occasion. All the fresh food was made by Jeanna. The sandwiches were beautifully fresh and filled to the brim with fresh ingredients, the cheese and asparagus quiche was delicious and all the other savouries, which are too numerous to mention, were wonderful. That wasnt the end either, she made the most gorgeous Victoria sponge which was light, moist and overflowing with butter cream and jam together with chocolate cup cakes and some fruity, crispy chocolate brittle. With all that said I take my hat off to Jeanna for her attention to detail. Not only did she include posh takeaway cutlery, napkins and proper plastic plates, she also added after eight mints, a cake slice and even toothpicks. Then, to top it off, Jeanna included some inflated birthday balloons and, for a bit of fun, a plastic tiara for the birthday girl. My closing words about Jeanna are, she goes beyond expectations and gives her best to please.

I am secretary of an association called The Old Foulnessians, it comprises mainly retired personnel who worked at the Atomic Weapons Establishment, Foulness Island. For many years we have held an annual reunion and for the past 13 years we have used the services of Food For Thaught with the Hostes of the Mostest, Gina. All I can say is thank you Gina for 13 years of very pleased and satisfied members. As long as we have sufficient retired personnel interested, we will continue to hold reunions and the caterers will be Food for Thought

I had Food for Thought many years ago for my dad's funeral and was impressed. Over the years my mum used them for social events at the sheltered accommodation where she lived and they were always of a high standard. Sadly my mum passed away 3 weeks ago, so we used them again for my mum's funeral. The buffet was excellent, along with their service. We had four ladies running the buffet, tea and coffee and bar for us and they were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Everybody commented on how lovely they thought the buffet was and I can't recommend them highly enough.
