        We were in Southend for the night visiting family and decided to try out Chai for breakfast as it was just round the corner from where we were staying. What a fantastic find. The decor was really warm and welcoming, as was Alice (?) who worked there and served us. It was great that we were asked about allergies too which made me feel much more comfortable. We each had a smoothie which were delicious and I highly recommend the cashew cheese on toast. I had it with added tempeh and coconut bacon and it was fabulous; lots of unusual flavours (in a good way!), like a holiday for the taste buds! If Im in Southend again Ill certainly come back.
