Giraffe Stop

This is second time this month Ive passed through Southend Airport and I was looking forward to eating at the Giraffe Stop again. The Malay curry was delicious last time and the staff were nice and chatty. There seems to be a change in management policy. The staff were the same nice people but the curry is now in a horrible plastic container that resides under a hot lamp(?), with a plastic lid that sweats the nan bread to a soggy sponge and the coriander leaf brown. The favour of the plastic does not blend well with the tasty curry! I would gladly return if it was served fresh in a bowl fit for people like last time. Im no tree hugger but I cant see the reason to use disposable plastics in an airport restaurant considering the current push to reduce plastic use. I gave 5 stars for the staff and minus 2 for the manager and his plastic flavored curry.

Nice little cafe, the only problem is could they please make the sandwiches a little fresher. The same date ones that wee had, as that was all that was available were dry. We,he been travelling from here for the past six years and it seems to have gone down. Maybe due to the increasing number of passengers. But I think he t time I'll bring my own.
