Staff (Natalie, Jenna, Staci and Imelda) medically neglect service users. I kept saying to them that Ive got a chest infection to which they ignored it and said I was fine. I had to then go on strong antibiotics because I had a server chest infection linked with my asthma. Then they refused to support me knowing full well that Ive got a problem with my legs and saying to wait until I can see my GP knowing full well majority of my family suffer from server and life threatening problems with their legs. Imelda tries to convince you that youre meds are not enough to help with my mental health (when Im on medication that helps with my mental health) and trying to diagnose me with things that I dont have them problems.

I wouldn't recommend this place anyone. They allow all types of bullying and threats to life. The staff are as useful as a chocolate fire guard. This dump needs to be closed!!

I am currently staying at Retreat House in the capacity as a temporary service user following major surgery on my leg so that I can recuperate, recover and get stronger in preparation for my 2nd operation sometime this year. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude goes to all the staff who have gone over and above to provide 24/7 care and support. An extra thank you goes to both Brenda Desave-West Registered Manager and Imelda Financial Director. Staying at Retreat is a stop gap and transition until I am able to return to my first floor flat which has no lift. In 2019 I had experience of Adult Social Care Package and was only given 10 minutes daily support with no set times and different staff. It is important to recognise the quality, care and support which is provided. For me as a temporary Service User I cannot thank them enough as they have gone over and above what has been asked. Some of the Service Users come from complex backgrounds and can be the hardest to reach. However with the nurturing, care support and independent skills programme, keyworker sessions alongside training Retreat offer a first class service who I would recommend to anyone whether it be for an 18 year old or in my case in the early 60s
