        The manageress Jackie was extremely helpful and her accommodation was #1+ and probably the best room I've paid such a small amount of money to sleep in for a very long time, and I've taken one of her cards with the information details and will definitely be very happy to use the SWAN INN AGAIN,My appreciation to her and her help with this, Jack Finn from South Shields NE33

        The room was ok, clean bathroom. But the bed was gross we went to get into bed, it had hair (clumps and long hair) on the sheets, plus stains on it. We could not sleep in it so took the duvet cover off to lay on top of and the duvet was covered in stains too. Then between 3am and 4.30am the noise of other guests returning was a joke, no respect for others slamming doors and yelling at each other. We most certainly would not stay there again.

        Be careful if you leave an honest review that the landlady doesnt like, you will get refused service and told to drink somewhere else. Very hostile and unwelcoming. Very shocked that someone can be refused service for leaving a review that was honest but fair. On top of this the drinks are over priced which I found on previous visits. The landladys reply to this review is a lie and not how she approached the subject at all. Refused service over a review is pretty petty. Bad reviews help you get better and improve and should be taken on board.
