        Very poor service so far. I provided a new address for my GMDSS certificate and they sent it to my old address, and this was after having to prompt them after waiting five days after paying for a courier. No doubt 'the covid' will be the excuse instead of incompetency.

        The MCA in 2021 in my view appears to be totally unfit for purpose. It's unclear how this "Gov" agency can be effective when all of it offices, except Cardiff, are still today effectively closed with just skeleton staff. Pandemic or otherwise the MCA seems out of touch with the 21st century and, if it were a business, it would be bust! Over the space of the past three weeks - simply trying to obtain a Seamans Card and Discharge book so that I can begin to work again - I have encountered rudeness, inefficiency and lackadaisicalness to an astonishing degree. It's time for big changes at the MCA!
