For the Past few years i have loved Millbrook Chippy. The Chips have always been well cooked and fluffy with tasty salt and vinegar on them. However this Thursday evening, I just cant believe its the same shop! The chips were darker than usual hard with a really greasy unpleasant smell and taste to them, you couldnt even remove some of the chips off the paper because they were stuck to it. Around 7am Friday morning I woke up, with severe sickness, stomach pains, very lose stools all day! The sickness just didnt stop! I do believe that the chips were left out for a long period of time and re fried, or cooked and kept in the refrigerator and cooked again the next day. Or the oil was just rancid. I called the owner this evening they were apologetic and offered free chips. But I will never eat in this establishment again!! Im still shaking and feeling really unwell. Food safety shouldnt be taken lightly and peoples well-being shouldnt be at risk because chip shops want to save on time and money.
