* Wonderful, caring medical staff throughout the whole process, which made such a difference (thank you)
* Lots of resources shared to help me do the injections at home, for example
* We were (eventually) successful thanks to this team's amazing efforts. We love our baby daughter very much and I hope this gives other couples hope that it can happen.
Negatives:
* We were sent letters confirming appointments, many of which arrived too late. In fairness, this was during the pandemic, and probably the 'fault' of the hospital's internal postal system. However, it wasn't helpful with getting time off work at short notice, with missing appointments altogether, and/or having to very often chase the clinic to find out when my next appointment was. I asked to be switched to email but sometimes they would forget. They also rarely answered the phone or returned my calls. It sounds like a small thing, but the poor admin side of things added to what was already, naturally a very stressful time in our lives.
* One of doctors- while amazing - was always late for appointments. I overheard nurses trying to track him down. This made me very late getting back to work. More importantly, there are some appointments where you must have a full bladder. So I was very uncomfortable waiting for this doctor to turn up!
Overall, we had a fantastic medical experience but the organisation part of it could benefit from some improvements.
