Not recommended! TLDR: Held my laptop for almost 4 months without seemingly doing any job. Full story: On the 5th of January I left my laptop with Rocket Repairs for investigation why it doesn't switch on. The engineer was nice, we had a chat and he mentioned that these kinds of laptops and faults are often difficult to solve (due to unavailable parts) but they will try their best - so far I was really happy. I was told there is a 25 pounds investigation fee and that it will take them 3-4 days to investigate - fine. I haven't heard from them until the 18th (so almost 14 days) - when I decided to call and ask about the laptop. They apologized and said they will now look into it. Finally, I got an update on the 21st and was told that there is a fault with the power circuit which they can try to fix for 150 and there's only 50% chance it will work - I okayed the job and was told that I will be updated in the coming week. What happened since then was radio silence - zero updates about the job. Between 21st of January and 20th of April I called them 6 times. Every time they were apologetic and telling me that maybe the engineer forgot to put the notes on the system, that it is difficult and laborious job (that's factually true) and EVERY TIME I was told the engineer will come back to me with the update in a day or two. That never happened. Finally in April I called and told them that I want to collect the laptop regardless of whether they fix it or not and so I did. They charged me only 25 for the investigation instead of the full 150 - probably indicating that they did not attempt fixing it at all, just wasting 3 months of my time.

Fixed my son's switch lite that another shop couldn't fix. Repaired the same day it was received. Communication was perfect. Will definitely use again.
