A god awful decision made by those who do not care for a patients life. 0 reason at all to decline the request to have my medication placed on the NHS. Everything needed to learn the safety and the efficacy of an unnecessarily demonised old medication, that is more effective for depression and anxiety than any of the sugar pills prescribed to me throughout my life from those who have no deeper understanding of mental health disorders. I've been seeing a private psychiatrist for months but due to finances it's been tough. We have found a medication that gave the best improvement in my mental health yet, after the GPs had 0 idea what they've been doing with the carrousel of SSRI's since I was 15. The medication is extremely hard for me to afford. It's better now I'm full time, but it had taken me to borrowing money from friends for months just to live a HAPPIER life. My consultant psychiatrist had written a request letter to CHARTWELL GREEN to get them to prescribe my meds on the NHS. The medication is necessary for me to continue living. They declined putting it on the NHS, even when assured by somebody much more intelligent than them in mental health medication and provided them with up to date learning on the drug, also provided them with the information I myself am knowledgeable on the medication, it's risks, consumption protocol and safety etc. They are old doctors running on outdated knowledge. It was expressed that my suicidal thoughts had improved massively. That I was facing minimal life impacting side effects. They had the choice to really improve a patients life, but themselves aren't willing to take the time to learn more about the medication and use the available up to date research on its safety and take into consideration my financial troubles and my positive experience with a life saving medication. Here you have a case of Doctor's unwilling to change and learn on their end, and leaving a patient to struggle in life when there is a simple option that alleviates suffering. Truly terrible. Truly, truly terrible.

practice would rather see a patient die than to learn about modern state of medicine. Big stamp of disapproval

My elderly parents are patients at this surgery. My mum has dementia. They are finding it impossible to get an appointment to see a doctor. They went in on Monday to get an appointment, they were asked if its an emergency. They said no as its not. They were told to come back today (Thursday) as that's when appointments are given out. They went back this morning to be told there are no appointments. They seem to be always phobed off at reception. They are at a loss on how to get a doctors appointment

Fantastic surgery. So grateful I was able to transfer my family here. Outstanding doctors and nurses who actually listen. Really responsive admin/care coordinator team who handle calls brilliantly and are polite and professional as well as trying their best to get you an appointment. Always get through on the phone quickly. You can tell there is good and well organised communication paths and processes within the surgery. Really cant fault them!
