Overpriced properties and pretending to be a top quality developer but really all homes are full of snagging issues and cheap material. Expensive service charge for useless management company.

This place is a scam. -They told us that by buying in our building (shared ownership block) we would have access to all the facilities, for example the gym. Once the gym was finished they told us we dont have access as we are shared ownership block, all was a lie from the beginning. We pay gym fee in the service charge. -They promised us to have concierge and security service and we often had people breaking in to consume drugs in our staircase, even being threatening to neighbors stopping in from breaking in. Berkeley didnt do their job, we had to report to police while security or concierge did nothing. It is not a safe place to live and we are scared for our safety. -Concierge service is offered in the welcome pack even that they will not do anything for shared ownership building, so the service offered on the sale is not provided. You will pay concierge fee on the service charge. -Recently weve got mice coming into our quality houses building. It is surprising to find mice in the top floor of a new building. Bare in mind about this before buying here.

This is a very worrying development since its built on land so polluted it was a no-go zone to local people once the old Southall gas works closed in the 1970s. Until Crossrail started to make it attractive to developers Ealing Council initially refused planning permission since they knew the extent of site contamination, but the eternally corruptible Boris Johnson in his then capacity as London Mayor forced it through. Toxic radioactive materials (NORMS) plus cadmium, mercury, asbestos and benzene pollution resulting from the coal that was processed here into gas don't just go away. They remain hazardous for thousands of years. No amount of rebranding this development as The Green Quarter - a fluffy name disguising a poisonous reality - can escape this fact. The developers claimed to have created an 'open air soil hospital' to 'clean up the site before building. Utter bulls**t. Theres nothing any human can do to change the fundamental physics. But they can concrete it over and build on top Speak to local residents. Ask them how their lung disease is going. Then move somewhere else.

Visited a friends property at the green quarter & I was impressed by what this developer is doing for the local area. Transforming Southall for the best!
