Charlotte has been absolutely amazing through the whole process of finding a mortgage. She has gone above and beyond what I thought would happen when working with a mortgage advisor. She has been really supportive, understanding and really responsive when it came to all my questions and ensured that I knew exactly what was going on every step of the way. What an absolute HERO! The word hero is thrown about all too often nowadays but it's genuinely the only word to describe Charlotte. We found Charlotte by pure chance on social media, after looking for recommendations from friends and family and coming up short - no one seemed to actually listen to what we wanted or what we needed. Except Charlotte. Charlotte asked a couple of quick questions and then arranged a call with me. She asked all about me and my wife, what we were looking for, what we needed and then if we had any questions. From this phone call, I knew Charlotte was the person that was going to secure our mortgage. I let her know it's hard for me or my wife to take phone calls during the day due to work, but could respond pretty swiftly to messages, texts, emails etc. For most people, this would be an issue, not for Charlotte. She'd text, message, email me when she needed something (this wasn't very often, in truth). Even with the hurdles COVID provides - a lack of face to face contact, an uncertain market, lenders not offering products, the list is endless, Charlotte was able to understand exactly what we needed and wanted. That being said, the second I called her, she'd answer the phone - answer my questions and tell me exactly what I needed to know and most importantly, why something was suitable or not suitable for us. I'll never forget when I called her on a Monday morning to tell her we'd found our perfect house. We needed to move pretty quickly to make sure we didn't lose it. Charlotte instantly sorted everything we needed, literally within half an hour, we were in a position to make the offer and secure the property we are now buying. The best thing about Charlotte for me? She knew exactly what the lenders would need in terms of documentation, questions etc and was organised enough to get me to upload everything early in the process so that she could do everything else behind the scenes without needing to involve us. Perfect - because as I say, we struggled to find time during business hours. This is the stage Charlotte really came into hero status! She knows and understands the whole market. There were a couple of products we could have selected, Charlotte run us through the pros and cons of each one, answered any questions we had and steered us to the product that met all of our needs, followed by an in-depth, line by line explaination of the mortgage illustration so we knew exactly what we were signing for and signing up to for the next 35 years! Once we'd found the right lender, Charlotte dealt with all their queries and communications with the support of Jess from the support team. Absolutely fantastic service from Jess too, excellent communication periodically whilst we waited for the lender to do their thing and offer the mortgage. Followed by support from their Protection Team, who were able to suggest protection products to ensure that if the worst was to happen, we could still pay our mortgage. Far from pushy sales people, just listened and advised on what is available to ensure we were adequately covered. We've got our mortgage offer and we are due to exchange and complete in due course, it's been an absolute pleasure to work with Charlotte. It's been stress free, something I never thought would be the case when applying for our first mortgage, buying a first house. I've already recommended Charlotte and the Mortgage Mum to pretty much anyone that will listen - and will continue to do so whenever any of my friends or family are in a position to buy a house and I will certainly be answering Charlotte's call that she's already scheduled in for when my fixed term of my mortgage expires to remortgage! Charlotte, sincerely, thank you for absolutely everything you've done for us.
