A very lovely experience for my mum's birthday. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts and beautiful animals that allowed you to stroke and feed them. Would recommend

My husband bought me an Alpaca Walk as one of my presents for my 70th birthday in August. Our daughter, husband and grandchildren came along too. We had a fabulous day. Sarah and James were really lovely. The Alpacas were very well behaved. Good luck to you both in your adventures.

My mum and I went to Candleford cottage today for the first time after wanting to go in an alpaca walk for a long time just never knowing the perfect time to go. We were immediately welcomed as soon as we arrived and met by the lovely Sarah and James who after introducing themselves and telling us what we were going to be doing took us to the first of the fields where we met the girls ( Bella was my favourite ) and we fed them whilst were told lots of interesting information about the alpacas along with any questions that we had about them answered straight away. After this we walked through the field of girls into the next field where we met the boys who all had fantastic personalities and were friendly as they came right up to us. After this me and my mum took CurlyWurly and Cangaroo on a walk around the fields giving them treats on the way around which they are really nicely. They walked really well and were fantastically behaved, stopping to greet the girls on the way around. Once we got back from the walk we were then able to feed the boys who loved it and then walked back through the field of girls with which they followed us walking next to and behind us and to the shed where we saw the fleece that had been sheered earlier in the year which was very soft. It was a fantastic thing to do and we really enjoyed it and couldnt fault it. I would highly recommend to anyone who asked us whether to go as it was a truly unforgettable experience with both Sarah and James going above and beyond to make the experience as good as possible with many photo opportunities and we definitely will come again.

Beautiful animals in a wonderful setting. Alpacas may look a bit like a long necked sheep, a tall wooly goat or even a sheep crossed with a horse but having met them today, they're a whole entire vibe of their own I get the hype now! They have a charming inquisitiveness about them, they're full of character and if you're lucky enough to get chosen for a stroke, their wool is incredibly soft. Listen out for the snuffly noises they make whilst they potter around too. Fabulous animals. Alpacas are more than worthy of their cult status
