Brilliant pub, friendly, staff great food

Not at all dog friendly or even people friendly. Phoned ahead to book and advise we had dogs with us. Was advised on the phone we could sit at the tables outside but they couldnt be reserved. When we arrived only two other tables outside were occupied. We sat at a table and browsed the menu. After a few minutes a member of staff came over to tell us we couldnt sit on this particular type of table as it had to be booked and dogs werent allowed near said tables. He pointed at a table we were allowed to use and gave no further instructions. We sat at this approved table for several more minutes whilst being ignored by other staff. We then left without ordering. From our brief experience the place felt pretentious and rude.

Went with a friend for Sunday lunch . Absolutely brilliant, staff were fabulous, helpful and friendly. The meal was superb, highly recommend.
