Breakfast was as good as previous visits

The staff are really nice, helpful and friendly. The whole layout of the place is beautiful. I visited last week for a Sunday roast with my children, we hadn't booked as we were only passing, they we're quite bust but was able to be seated in the bar area and have a really nice meal. That was the first time I had visited and I had to go back yesterday after a long walk in Dovedale as the food was so nice. I had something else on the menu. Every meal we have had there was perfect. My children love it there. My youngest wrote a note to the staff to say thank you on her napkin and they sent one back which made her day! My eldest is a very fussy eater and she finished her meal which is very rare, and also asked for more! Thank you so much, I wish I hadn't only just discovered the Mackworth Farmhouse. We will definitely be visiting regularly!

Unfortunately, I could not give less than one star management left us the whole time throughout the meal to sort out food that was wrongly ordered on their end After saying they would come over to fix the issue. The whole atmosphere is if you are rich, you are welcome. If you dress normally, you are made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome
