Skips and weird sounds over my copy of Max Roach's "We Insist" from this label. Emailed over a year ago and got no response. Poor quality control and non-existent customer service, so I'll be avoiding them from now on, sadly.

Really really saddened to have to write this review. Received a faulty record that cost over 40, I contacted them to explain the problem and received a reply from Jessica asking me to take a video of the faulty record. I complied with her request and sent it in, but have been ignored. I have sent several more emails over the last two months, but I have just been ignored. My final email to them said that I will be left with no choice but to leave them bad feedback, but this made no difference. So this company is good at taking your money, but should you have a problem you will be ignored, level of customer service Zero out of Ten.

I've bought a around 5 or 6 records from Pure Pleasure Records over the years. The pressings are superb, and the records sound great. All analogue releases which is rare nowadays. They deserve our support for the work they do. The albums are reasonably priced too, in comparison to other audiophile re-issue companies like Analogue Productions from the US. They release a lot fo jazz, blues, classical and folk. I like a bit of blues but wish they'd release a few more contemporary albums over a wider genre of music. Reggae, pop, rock etc.It might be too expensive to buy licensing rights though, especially for such a small company. They also sell Speakers Corner releases who are based in Germany and are a similar small company. Anyway they are highly recommended. Delivery is great and the staff are really nice if you need to contact them.
