The Green Surgery

I'm 73 years old and have been a patient at this surgery for 50 years. Today I tried to get Covid jabs for myself and my wife. I was told that the surgery is not running Covid clinics. They tell me that all their vaccine was administered to people on a first come first servered basis. No effort was made to provide vaccines for people at risk. No notifications were sent to invite patients to make appointments. This practice is actually endangering the health of my wife and myself. This lack of care is a disgrace!

I have used this practice for more than 15 years. Perhaps because I was aged 70 when I moved to Twickenham I was consistently treated with care and respect. During the Covid years I had telephone conversations with the admin staff that were frustrating. Eventually, the results were satisfying. Now, as my health declines, their support is better than it was in the past. This morning I spoke to a lovely person called Madiya, who managed to obtain the help I need and I am grateful.

My son needed to get a full vaccination record and went on the website and admin to request this. It came in within five minutes! Absolutely brilliant!

Regretfully I have changed surgery for various reasons. There are no male doctors listed on practice staff.

Generally a good surgery - the doctors and nurses I've seen have always been helpful, listened intently and done everything they can to help me. The receptionists can sometimes be unhelpful, but I imagine they have to deal with a lot of nonsense sometimes. I do wish they were open at more convenient times during non-working hour/days, but it is much easier with phone appointments or WFH
