Although why South Tyneside Council charges for parking still astounds me if they want to attract shoppers they need to really revise their ideas. I normally do not shop in the town due to their parking and scam bus lanes.
I found it easier to use the Pay by Phone app to pay for parking so you don't have to touch the payment machine, but each to their own.
