Edit: I'm sorry to say that this charity shop is now just out of my price range which is a shame as I used to spend 500 a year there and so far by April I've maybe spent 5? I just won't spend over the odds on 2nd hand items, example hessian 2 for a 20p piece size. It's only 4 a meter new that makes a massive rug. The hardback books went to 1 a book, I won't spend that but the lady on the till said she would so maybe its just me. I saw aldi wipes priced at 1 when they are just pence in aldi. Pictures are far too dear. The shop window themes are always spot on though. Sorry I have to lower your score. Staff are lovely but it's disheartening seeing the prices. I'll still pop in in the hope I can support the charity prices allowing. Jarrow still have affordable charity shops .... Unless you're very rich and dont mind paying more than brand new prices then this is the ONLY charity shop worth stepping into at the Nook. You don't feel ripped off here and you never know what they'll have in. Good if you're after wool and patterns and a canny toy area and book area. So many charity shops these days have become very greedy and in a deprived town we need affordable charity shops, afterall it's the deprived who also donate. So, please keep prices affordable and you'll keep customers coming back.

This is a top example of a charity shop. The volunteers go above and beyond to help customers. Always happy and approachable. Prices are extremely good I have known these people deliver if item bought is difficult to carry. We done South Shields Save the Children.
