I had the most terrible experience at this Timpsons with the bearded, stocky manager in his early 60s on Friday. I have an Omega Seamster watch with a lifetime battery replacement card purchased at this Timpsons about 18 months ago. I tried to use my card for the first time to get the watch battery replaced. From the beginning, he was rude, abrasive and unhelpful. Firstly he snatched the watch and quickly claimed the card does not match the watch. I said it does. He then desperately scanned the card and gleefully pointed at the date stating "what is this!" I said "LT" is written there. He said, "what is that?" I said, "I don't know - perhaps LT stands for 'lifetime' as it is a lifetime battery replacement card." He then said "This card has not been filled out correctly as it has no date so it is invalid - go and get your receipt" Followed rapidly by a barrage of insulting questions: "How did you pay?" "When did you buy this card?" and "how much did you pay?" Finally, he switched tactics "You did not buy this card here as we don't sell them" Incensed, I pointed to the exact place in the shop where I purchased the service in good faith. In any case, why was he asking me for a receipt for the card if he knew he did not sell the card? I insisted he stopped this charade and honour the service I purchased in this very shop in good faith. He refused point blank. Regrettably, I lost my temper and called him an expletive and a fraud. I stand by the term "fraud." In frustration, I slammed the door of the shop as I left. What happened next was truly shocking. He came out of the shop and started shouting behind me to fight him. He was utterly deranged. I truly believe he needs to be incarcerated or institutionalised. Timpsons is a mainstay of the British High street - is this really the image Timpsons wish to project? Please stay away from this shop unless you enjoy dealing with unhelpful, obstructive frauds with a predilection for bare-knuckle boxing on Sheen Road in broad daylight.

The first thing to note is Timpsons in Richmond is expensive, maybe because each branch charges what it thinks the local market can afford. The second is that the engraving service is poor. Cheap looking laser engraving - really not worth almost 40 to have it done. Timpsons as a company does a lot of good but I wouldnt recommend the Richmond branch.

Overcharging his customers with fake prices! Do not go here, find any other branch because you will get a cheaper price. Refused my customer because I questioned his pricing he told me its because he gets customers and unlike other stores

I visited the shop last week for my keys for a few properties I have, I was greeted by a very friendly person. i think his name was harri, and he sorted my different keys very quickly. I've just finished checking all the keys work, I'm very happy with all of them, and I will be back to use the Richmond shop next time I have a lot of keys that i need sorted.

strongly advise not to deal with man in in beard (mid 50s) , hes misleading. I overheard him advising co worker to charge people based on the brand of the product they bring to shop. You should be charging based on the work you need to do .
