The Hair Academy

I genuinely dont know how this business is allowed to operate. The owner, Paige, is incompetent and has a total lack of respect. After promising the world to my partner, we made the move across country, for him to start a career at The Hair Academy. After two weeks, stories started creeping out of the woodwork and it transpired that she wasnt paying her staff and if she did on occasion, it was incorrect, or very late. My partner did receive a couple of pay cheques, one which was weeks late. Then three months in, she decided to make his job redundant. To this day she still owes him 3 weeks pay (probably more, who knows, as she never gives payslipsof course), plus all the stuff he bought out of his own pocket, as the salon was inadequately stocked. To top it off, she has given HMRC totally false information regarding his employment, which is causing us a lot of unnecessary stress and will potentially cost him more money. What an absolute waste of time, money and effort it was trusting this woman. I truly feel sorry for the staff who care about education and the kids that encounter her. Before you considering sending your child there, read the Ofsted report and avoid at all costs!

Run very poorly and the barbering apprenticeship they advertise is completely false as there is no wage or placement involved. And when you find a placement the college will fail to get you in. This information is based on my 8 months with the college. Edit in response- can't say the "Apprentices" in my group were very "happy"
