Wow what a fantastic cottage. Everything you could need. Lovely and secluded in your own garden and very peaceful. Want to go back soon. Loved the electric blanket. Cottage always warm. Beds great. Great to see the cows from the back windows. A lovely call from the owner on the evening of our arrival to make sure all was OK. You have a lovely gem of a cottage. I am very envious

A beautiful cottage with an equally beautiful garden. It most certainly has the wow factor when you enter through the gates. However, the interior decor is starting to look a little tired with wallpaper just starting to peel in some areas. The living room area is very dark, due to only having small windows, but obviously this is due to the character of the property. The owners have hung fairy lights around the fireplace which adds a lovely warm glow. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and utensils and it was here that I felt the cleaner hadn't really done a thorough job i.e. crumbs in the cutlery drawer, fridge not clean properly inside and one of the cupboards had spilled spices left inside. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage, with one being upstairs and one downstairs, which is not really suitable for families with young children. Having two separate bathrooms, both with showers, was a bonus. Beware of the low ceilings; I lost count of how many times heads were banged on it. The garden is well stocked with mature plants and is split into three levels. Once the gates are closed it feels like your own little haven. There are lots of options when it comes to deciding where to sit but due to the layout it probably isn't suitable for young children and any adults with mobility issues. We stayed here for two weeks and visited various beaches and attractions but a car is a must as there is nothing within walking distance.
