I'm updating my review to reflect the 'new management' and an improved service since coming out of the Covid pandemic. The surgery has still unfortunately not reverted to the previous 'phone at 08:30 for an face to face appointment' regime that previously existed but relies on AskMyGP online messaging. This works for simple issues, or potentially serious ones where a face to face appointment is possible even the same day, but falls down on intermediate level problems where a face to face discussion WITHOUT A MASK could resolve the matter in probably a single visit. A particular case in point for me is where I found a likely solution to a long term issue myself, and it took 2 months and multiple phone discussions with different doctors, which was probably the problem, to finally get the basic BNF starting prescription level which worked. It isn't a 'miracle drug' as one locum rather sarcastically put it, but has made a massive difference! Things have improved, but I can see why the 999 service has become overburdened with patients becoming sufficiently ill that they have no alternative.

These two practices function within challenging circumstances but, in my six years experience I have always received highly professional attention and advice at every moment of staff attention. Every Dr., clinical specialist and reception encounter has been most helpful and informative. All staff do their very best to provide excellent service.
