North Road Post Office

Same size and weight parcel cost me twice as much as it did at the main post office yesterday! Same service used too. I was under the impression that Royal mail prices are fixed! Really grumpy staff here too. Use the main PO it's much cheaper, nearly half the price.

As a small business owner I post many parcels. My step son has been taking them to post for me as I am shielding and housebound. They are thin parcels so go large letter rate. They are mostly under 10 in value, but always 5 and above. Because of this I need receipts or I cannot claim for a lost parcel. Or have proof to show my customers that I have posted. The man behind the desk said that he "didn't have time for them" and to out them in the post box. This is when nobody else was in the queue and I had brought my postage online and printed the lables. So he doesn't need to do anything but scan bar codes and print the receipt. The man was rude, judgemental, and a disgrace to his profession. I feel so let down by the service, that I need to be able to put food on the table in a vulnerable household.

Make sure you do everything ready to scan for the man working ( owner) of this post office as he is not competent of doing anything a part of scanning a bark code and put the parcel into the bag. Very bad service
