Fantastic club and great people. They have really made me and my son very welcome. The training is great and everything well explained. Cant wait to see how far we can progress.

A great place to start your BJJ journey. My son & I (11 yr old) started over a year ago. My son's self confidence has developed further & Stuart (coach) also came to coach him at a competition he took part in. Approachable & knowledgeable coaches in Stuart & Simon who are ably assisted by other senior pros. A variety of morning & evening classes to choose from for a reasonable price. A great place for your child (& yourself) to develop confidence & get fitter.

Amazing club! Coaches are very experienced and able to support with whatever your BJJ goals (self-defence, competition, etc). Started September 2020 aged 40 (never too late) with my 7 year old son, and it's a great bonding activity. Everyone's really welcoming and happy to help you progress. Been there nearly two years now, trained with some great people, learned loads and had some great experiences. Would thoroughly recommend giving GB Thurrock a go!

Gracie Barra Thurrock has changed our families life, we used to do the odd bit of walking to keep fit but that just wasnt enough. We wanted our Daughter to learn some self-defence so we took her to Gracie Barra Thurrock. Professor Stuart is amazing with the kids, he teaches in a way that makes it fun and of all the activities our Daughter does, Jiujitsu is her favourite. The atmosphere is so great it made me want to give it a go. I was welcomed into the Gracie Barra family with open arms. Starting a martial art at 43 is not something you take on lightly but it was made so easy because everyone is so friendly and helpful. Professor Simon is amazing, he teaches you with such passion that every lesson is simply awesome. Professor Stuart is always willing to give you the time to show new techniques and talk through how to improve your game. But he goes above and beyond just teaching jiujitsu. If you are thinking of giving Brazilian Jiujitsu a chance, you will not be disappointed with Gracie Barra Thurrock. You will make great friends, learn to defend yourself and get fit. There isnt any negatives
