Little Carlton Lodge With Private Pool & hot tub

Absolutely amazing idea with the private swimming pool, hot tub and lodge cabin, very clean and tidy. We only got to meet one of the hosts Claire who was very welcoming and lovely. The only frustrating and downside part of the whole experience was the time curfews and rules. Firstly, we arrived at check in at 15:00pm and due to being bonfire weekend as they told us they were going out we only had the private swimming pool until 17:00pm even though it advertises up to 20:00pm so we didnt get to experience that to the full. Secondly, the hot tub is advertised and had a text from Charlie saying until 22:35pm before it is automatically turned off, by 22:00pm it was turned off which for a young couple like us celebrating a birthday we would loved to of have had the hot tub until 00:00am especially on a weekend. We think shutting the hot tub off at 22:00pm on a weekday is reasonable but it should be considered later on a weekend. Especially when the lodge only caters for two people so it wouldnt be as loud as a big group. I would recommend this experience to more elderly couples who like to get away in the UK for a night and dont mind early closures and go to bed early.

The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, the room was clean and so nicely decorated, very private and we got given some delicious banana bread that was genuinely some of the best banana bread I have ever had. Could not recommend this place enough for a small break. Went above and beyond. You will not be disappointed.
