Nearby activities: There are a couple of pubs but we drove to surrounding village to eat.
Safety: Yes doors locked at 10pm but you have a key to come in later if you wish
Walkability: Yes the shops are really nice. Just 5min drive to a fabulous woodland too walk a dog.
Food & drinks: Ale, cider & more with great friendly service.
Noteworthy details: Amazing full breakfast - sees you through to dinner at nearby great pubs.

Had to leave for work before breakfast was ready, so they made me a packed lunch ..
Room was fresh and modern suite. Located in the centre of town with lots of food and drink venues close by. They may not have a kitchen for evening meals, but you can order in, and they will serve up your takeaway in their restaurant. I just nipped to for fish and chips and had in my room.
Absolute delight staying here. Warmer welcome than large corporate hotels.
