Playground: The playground in Hayling Park is a small area at the western edge of the park and was given a facelift in 2022. Consisting of various types of swings including a parent/toddler tandem swing, a "layback" round swing for two (or maybe more), a central climbing "tower", seesaws, a hopscotch area plus other recreational apparatus you'd expect to find in a children's playground. Restrooms: Restrooms are available both in the community centre building (during opening hours) and in a purpose-built outbuilding set off the car park. Dog-friendliness: The park has a vast green area with bins scattered around for receiving both general and bagged dog waste. There are numerous benches for you to sit on while your dog(s) play freely amongst each other. Dogs are also permitted in Tee Caddy in the Park (formerly John's Caf) provided they are kept on a lead and, obviously, get on with both people and other dogs. Picnic area: There is no designated picnic area, but there is a superb and professionally run Caf, the Tee Caddy in the Park. This Caf was taken over in early 2023, when John's Caf decided to throw in the towel. The change in management/ownership has provided a breath of fresh air to Hayling Park with superb food at very competitive prices, friendly and professional staff, and a crisp and clean place to eat hot food or have a drink and a piece of one of the variety of cakes they have on offer. Scrummy!. When the weather is nice and a bit warmer, or even in the snow, if that's what takes your fancy, why not sit out on the patio at the front of the Caf? Typical opening times are 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 2pm on Sundays, although they will stay open longer at busy times. During the summer, the Caf will be open longer hours (yet to be published), so why not come and have a G&T on the upstairs balcony while watching a game of cricket? Yes! They serve a limited range of alcoholic drinks on site, too! You've seen what I've written, so why not try them for yourself. Oh, BTW, did I mention they are dog friendly? So why not bring your pooch along and treat them to a Doggychino? Just make sure they are on a lead and obviously get on with other dogs and, of course, people.

The only problem with the cafe is the acoustics. You struggle to hold a conversation, it is so loud, the voices echo all around the room. Table cloths, maybe curtains would help drowned the noise, some soft furnishings.
