Never again ! try someone that knows what they are doing. Took a PC over as had used him before and he charged reasonable money to fix a laptop for me and a few other bits and pieces in the past. he spent 25 minutes taking it to bits then said he had to pop home for an hour and shut up shop. One and a half hours later he returned, tried some second hand Ram memory and a secondhand Graphics card saying he "thought" the second hand parts were working just "thought" He then said it was motherboard failure and not worth repairing it. I asked if it could be power supply failure and he said maybe but he did not have another to try. I asked how much and he said "that will be 70 as I have been over 2 hours on it" I paid the money and thought o well leearnt my lesson and in the 2 hour's I paid you to go home and see the Mrs and you did'nt even try the power supply. Later met an ex Microsoft engineer who looked at it and said it was memory failure 1 stick of ram was bad, I explained that it had already been looked at and Ram tried but it was secondhand Ram was he sure ? he said if I fix it the cost will be 25 if I do not then do not pay me which I thought was fair and he did the job. Anyway 25 diognose and replace with new Ram memory stick and I am still using it today and writting this review on it all working fine. So to sum it up, this guy uses second hand Ram memory and cards that he "thinks" are fine, shuts shop to go home see the Mrs for an hour and a half comes back if it wont work condems the machine and charges 70 to do so and is a complete blagger. I am a big supporter of small shops but not the ones that take advantage of people doing so. O and the stickers all over the doors are conspiracy rubbish go somewhere else if I were you.......I do now.
