The cafe on the water at the Fisherman's lodge serves good food and drink. The Bluebells are fabulous, as are the wooden carvings.

Previously posted negative feedback deleted and 5 stars rated, all due to ranger with glasses (don't know his name), who saved us from blanking today, appreciate good and honest advise to move over to other side of the reservoir. Spent all day with no fishes before this advise received. Managed to land 4 on the other side within 2 hours :)

Parking is OK and free which is a bonus these days. You can walk around the woods by taking the paths that start behind the cafe but I could nitvsee any real details of routes available, length or difficulty and while there is sign posts once in the woods it's not always clear what they are telling you. I walked around 2 to 3 KM covering some of the paths but I think there could be some longer routes available. Was still muddy in places in April so probably Walmart some walking boots as you will most likely get muddy of stray to far. Went to Cafe afterwards which has usual drink selections and a breakfast then lunch menu I only had a coffee which was fine. You can't walk around the reservoir inside the perimeter but might be possible using roads etc. but I don't see the benefit in that. There is also fishing on the lake from boars and shore. Bluebells were out also creatinsome amazing displays.
