Absolutely fascinating, if a little disturbing because of the purpose of the bunker. When it's open, go for a visit. Allow several hours. Wear a jumper...

RAF Holmpton is a fantastic place to visit. A relic from the cold war this former monitoring station has survived remarkably intact. Full of the original equipment the guides at various places in the bunker explain the uses of all the equipment. Some of the guides are actually ex RAF personnel who were stationed at this base, and tell you of there experiences, it brings the whole place alive. This is a fantastic Museum highly recommended. There is a lot of stairs, no lift not suitable for disabled people. Large free car park.
