        We stayed in Maple Lodge for the second time. Good communication from the time of booking to arrival. Lovely and clean and everything you would need for a comfortable break. Dog friendly and the fishing was very good. Fishing tackle shop across the road.

        Really disappointed with the fishing management, me and a friend booked way in advance to be told there was plenty of room on the lake for us to fish. On arrival, we were told that most swims were shut due to being 'Reserved' which we were told we couldn't do and the rest of the swims were already occupied by anglers. We was told only max 6 anglers on the lake, but there was 10 fishing. Incredibly frustrating considering we booked the lodge just to fish lake pochard. We are not local to lake pochard resulting in losing over 400. I cant fault the lodge, was really nice and clean in all due respects.
