Ealing Common Post Office London

The lady kept on chatting nonstop with colleagues while serving customers. She asked me to push the (slightly large letter) on the desk. I wasnt sure if the dimension fits and she told me just do it, without worrying it may destroy the package. Thats ok,but then she sounded like swearing at me using her local language afterwards. Post offices in the uk, never a good experience. I would rather interact with a kiosk.

The little shop has a little bit of everything, pretty handy. I don't understand all the other comments about the post office staff being rude and grumpy. Every time I'm here she's always been nice to me, we do chit chat while she's working but I don't think that makes her take more time with me. Maybe try to treat someone well, including a woman of colour, and that will reflect on their response?

Today I went to this post office. The experience was not great at all. The little Asian woman behind the counter did not make me feel comfortable at all the moment I arrived at the counter she was condescending but I kept my composure. I had two very large and heavy boxes from my office that were all ready to go she reprimanded me for not knowing the weight, when Im sure thats the reason for bringing them to the post office in the first place. I let her attitude slide. However when l tried to get her to scan both boxes that both had separate QR codes on them she was combative and would not accept that both boxes had different codes. She point blank refused to scan the second box and even when I asked I noticed her son kept lifting up the same box. She scolded me and said if one of the boxes went missing it would be on me for not having a separate label even though both boxes had the same destination. She said l will only give you one receipt and thats it. I left feeling really quite upset. I then said to myself no we are going back in and insisting she scan both boxes. Again she refused so I whipped out my camera phone and told her my boss wanted me to record her scanning both boxes again. The moment I did this her attitude immediately changed she scanned both boxes QRCode and surprise!surprise! She finally issued me with both receipts ! I immediately felt that her earlier threat of one of the boxes going missing was her way of telling me that a box would go missing because she would make sure it went missing. She then proceeded to say to me in front of a shop filled with others Dont come back againl had no idea where that came from other than her guilt of trying to be deceptive and being found out. I will only go there again in an emergency. I prefer honest and polite service like the kind you get at the main post office branch in Ealing Bdwy.
