You will be very lucky if come across Nathan to help train your dog. We have just finished our first block of training sessions and I can categorically say they have been incredibly valuable. Dottie is a two year old PatterJack. She was a lockdown pup who had a rocky start. She came to us pretty feral in lots of ways. I knew as soon as I met Nathan that it was going to be all right and that we would with his help do our best to make her the happy well rounded dog that she is becoming. The two hour home session was an eye opener and Nathan nailed Dotties personality completely. As well as that, his knowledge of canine behaviour is outstanding. We have learned so much since training started. Listening to Nathan and putting into practice his recommendations changed my perception of the human, canine relationship in an exciting way. If you are starting on this journey, or your dog for other reason may need a trainer then I cannot recommend Nathan highly enough.

We spoke to Nathan on the phone and he told us his initial consultation was 250, further sessions were 45 and 5 a week for digital support. He took the 250 and when he turned up he told us that he had no availability at evenings or weekend, which is really annoying as we work 9-5, Monday to Friday. We really felt that he should've told us before charging us the 250 as most people aren't available during the day. After the consultation, before leaving our home he told us again it was 45 a session and 5 a week digital support. He was quite pushy trying to get us to hand over money to book up again but we refused. About 30 mins after leaving, he sent us our report which was nearly 1,200 words (seemed a bit fast for a personalised dog report of that size) and the costs for us to continue. "Digital support 60, 4 Sessions 260. Package prices 300 invoice to follow to hold booking." Was a bit confused as 6 weeks for digital support at 5 should be 30, not 60 and 4 Sessions at 45 should be 180 not 260. Questioned Nathan and his response was that he'd changed his prices 6 months earlier and he'd quoted the old prices both on the phone and in person. Would've given him the benefit of the doubt if he'd let us know he'd made a mistake rather than trying to just increase the price and hide it in a package. Overall, couldn't tell you if Nathan is any good at dog training or not. He could be amazing. But we found him to be pushy, money grabbing and quite dishonest. We felt ripped off after seeing him. We contacted another trainer and in their first response they told us that they only had daytime appointments available so there are trainers out there that are not just trying to line their pockets.

Couldnt recommend Nathan more! He is an absolute star. Straight to the point takes time to get to know the family and the routine to find the root cause of the behaviour my dog was showing. Very friendly and patient when explaining members of the family are from another country and English isnt their first language so some things said they didnt quite understand and he was very patient when we were translating back and forth. I am also dyslexic and he took time to explain what he was saying so we could all understand. I would 100% recommend. Not only this but we have also received an email with everything that was discussed from our assessment the next day so then nothing was forgotten at all. Absolutely amazing

Nathan has transformed my relationship with my dog. I cant thank him enough. Ive had my lovely Labrador since he was 8 weeks old. He is my first dog and I had researched and read widely before getting him. My Labrador was 8 months old when, despite all my best efforts, things were not working out for us. He wasnt able to settle at all, was lunging at other dogs and walks were becoming a trial. I contacted Nathan and the first phone conversation and initial two hour home visit helped straight away. Nathan listened carefully and observed my dog and our interactions. His attention to detail and knowledge of dog behaviour enabled him to give me immediate feedback and set us on the way forward. By going back to basics, tweaking our routines, recognising and reducing the stresses and resetting our relationship, we have been able to establish solid foundations with a very happy and more confident dog and owner. It is not an understatement when I say that Nathan changed my life for the better. I feel lucky that he was able to take us on. He is very honest and straightforward. Sometimes this has involved suggestions or truths that are hard to hear and can be challenging to accept. All I can say is that, in my case, his ideas have worked extremely well. Nathan is always willing to discuss issues and explain his suggestions. The digital support he offers enabled me to ask immediate questions when there were difficult times between our lessons. His answers were prompt and supportive. The sessions at Ham Hill were particularly beneficial where Nathan could demonstrate long lead walking and I could practice with his support , initially on our own and later with the delightful Odie and Reggie. I feel I am now in a very happy partnership with my dog, loving our walks and enjoying his ability to settle at home when needed. This was money well spent. Thank you Nathan

Nathan will revolutionise your canine world-view. We fully endorse him and his methods. When our adopted lurcher Blue was suffering from anxiety and behaving irrationally around other dogs, we sought help from Nathan after advice from other trainers seemed to make the problem worse. We found that Nathan has a very large toolbox of techniques and approaches, but he absolutely sees each dog as an individual and always tailors his approach to each dog and each situation. Nathan understands dogs thoroughly and effortlessly, but my impression is that his magic lies not in training dogs, but in training dog owners which is much more difficult work, and much more valuable. With patience, compassion and encouragement, Nathan will equip you with the tools you will need to cope with any future problems that might arise, and will give you a newfound understanding of your dog and the canine world. We have learnt how to understand our dog and work with him through situations he finds challenging which give both us and Blue more trust in each other. Its amazing to see the difference in Blues confidence in the outside world grow and his enjoyment in walks too! We are getting a wagging tail from Blue and big smiles from us. Thank you Nathan for making our walks enjoyable again.
