Patients are directed to the back of the pharmacy where the vaccin is administered in some very small backroom. The room looked messy, dark and dingy, not sterile. It probably (hopefully) was clean but it was definitely uninviting.
No wheelchair access.
No facility to sit down for a few minutes after being vaccinated, let alone for 15 minutes.
Queueing outside in the cold /rain.
Leaflet that explains the vaccin, the side effects, etc was handed out after having received the vaccin. In the leaflet it reads - in bold - that the patient must read it before receiving the vaccin. That important instruction was ignored by the vaccinator. He did ask some relevant questions but he left many questions, mentioned in the leaflet, unanswered.
No 15 minutes sitting down offered.
Vaccinating must be a boring job but the lack of enthusiasm of this nurse / vaccinator was painful to watch. I'm still wondering if he was human or a new NHS robot.
