We booked a last minute Sunday lunch at esabellas and can honestly say it was the best roast myself and my fianc have ever eaten. The service was brilliant & friendly. The cocktails were amazing and the food was out of this world! Will definitely be recommending and returning to try an evening meal.

Didnt get the option to book. Tried to book a date for 15 people by phone. Girl who answered was busy laughing and joking with staff when she picked up. Then she wouldnt let me speak as she went to open the diary to tell me that the date I had asked for was booked in the eve and there was a baby shower in the afternoon. She hung up before I could finish saying a time slot of 12-4 wouldnt be any use to me and my friends but I was open to options. Im travelling up from. Bournemouth and specifically wanted to try the new and improved Esabellas, so I was disgusted with my initial enquiry that you have now lost some serious business from me and my guests. Not a great advertisement with such a lack of customer service.

So unfortunately the initial hostess service wasnt great. We booked a drinks table and was told to just go to the bar. Not ideal considering we booked drinks to then have dinner in the restaurant. Eventually we just sat at the bar. No real premium drinks options at the bar and the cocktails were just ok. The actual food and service was much better and food delicious. I think the way you are welcomed to a place is key, there was a party on but you could have lost potential custom as we may have bought many customers of ours to you but based on initial service and not the best drink options it may have to be a rethink. We would return for food though.

We didnt have a great experience. Some of the food was actually not bad at all (the filet was perfectly cooked) but there was just too much else wrong . The fish and chips were as expected but too cold We entered the restaurant and decided not to take off our jackets because it was freezing in there. Mentioning it to the hostess didnt seem to impress her and when we later left we noticed that people were wearing jackets even in the bar We ordered a bottle of wine and after it was poured we noticed that 1 of the glasses was dirty. The waitress took it back and brought (the same?, a different glass?) with the same amount of wine in it back. I would have expected a clean glass and either a fresh bottle or at least a fresh pour.. When we unfolded the napkins we noticed that those were very damp. Again, after mentioning it to the server she just said they may have been placed on the table after wiping when it was still too damp. Really? Did the hose down the table? The music came over from the bar area quite loud and didnt work for the restaurant part. We had two servers and the second one was very pleasant and nice but unfortunately we still wont be back here.
