Guy Hamilton - Piano and Singing Teacher in Solihull

My child has been having music lessons for a number of months now and Guy has good music knowledge but there have been serious issues that warrant a 1 star review. The short notice change in lessons and lack of access to his music 'portal' meant lessons were missed dispite being paid for. Whilst I took the initiative to resolve this amicably this has not ensure mutual respect. This is because Guy suggested investing music learning material and a piano so i did so. However, after the children summer holidays and without any notice, he stopped providing music lessons for no specific reasons or even any feedback in the last lesson for the child's progress. He lacked curtsey to speak to me at the time of what was unknown to me the last lesson and then the following morning sent a rather short & curt generic email (no feedback for child progress etc). This leaves my child having to locate a replacement teacher at short notice to minimise the impact and having invested in music learning material which may not be used further. Overall experience disappointing.

Was teaching my Brother for a few months and we decided to pull him out due to racist remarks and views he tried to put onto a 10 year old kid. Saying things like "people who celebrate eid should go back to pakistan or wherever they are from" and that "eid is not like christmas so you shouldn't get time off for it. Completely racist man with backward views, couldn't even keep it to himself and my brother felt very uncomfortable so came home crying. Not worth it, find someone better.

I have known Guy as a music teacher for a number of years. My children learn music (piano, singing) from him. He is an accomplished music professional and an excellent teacher. I have seen my children's musical ability grow over the years under Guy's guidance; they have cleared several music grading exams over this period with excellent results. I would certainly recommend Guy as a music teacher.

Guy is an awesome teacher and a lovely person. I felt like home since the first lesson and I had the opportunity to learn a lot and enjoy the music in a different way that I did it before. He is very flexible, patient and love his work. The place of the lessons, in his house, is very cozy too. I think its very important choose a good teacher or instructor in every thing we want learn, for this reason I would like recomend you Guy and I hope that your experience would be so good like mine.
