Tucked away, almost hidden in Mell Square I really like this place. The friendly and helpful staff appear to genuinely want you to be happy with your purchase and so will go that extra mile. There is a wide range of products on show but naturally they can't stock everything that appears in the Hi Fi magazines. Good prices too, so much so that following a demo I have now replaced the speakers I bought in the early 80s.

I have just purchased a Naim product and a set of Monitor Audio speakers from this store. I have to say the sales adviser "Wayne" was absolutely tremendous and informative. I was allowed to demo a range of speakers over a couple of days before settling on what was most suitable for me. The demos both lasted well over an hour and I was not pressurised into purchasing anything. Wayne was informative and accommodating and even had the kettle on for the second visit. He was interested in my musical tastes and how the kit I purchased would suit my home and the overall sound. I went to another Hi Fi store beforehand but they didn't seem keen to take my money or be interested in me. So well done Wayne, it was a pleasure to do business with you and thanks for your patience and expertise.

David was really helpful and provided great advice and set up the systems in the sound room in store for me to hear the different options. This resulted in me buying a better quality amplifier which I had not even thought of that he recommend to me. All items delivered quickly to home. I had a technical question and Tom in store was helpful and efficient to help resolve this over the phone and email. Great service would highly recommend

Highly recommended whether you are a novice or an experienced audiophile. My enquiry was dealt with by David who proved to be very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and not at all pushy. I was interested in upgrading my 20 year old floorstanding speakers to something in the 2-3k range, assuming quality must have improved significantly in that period. We had discussed various options prior to my appointment, and during the demonstration we gradually worked up to models far above my original budget. It became apparent that neither of us felt speakers below 4-5k were going to be much better than what I already had. David suggested that I didn't buy anything at this stage, and that I would only be changing again in the near future and wasting money by buying now. To demonstrate what was possible if I wanted a "forever speaker", he played some music on the Focal Sopra 1 standmounts. These were something that were totally off my radar, owing to their size and price. The quality was so far ahead of the previous models and had a real "wow" factor that I could see his point. He left it with me to consider whether l should delay my upgrade and save for the Sopras, or stay with what I already had as an intermediate speaker would not be totally satisfying. As I said, not at all pushy and only interested in what would suit the customer best in the long run. Needless to say, I cannot forget what I heard, and I'm debating whether I can justify spending 9k on Sopras and stands...
